We are licensed for up to 120 children, 20 of whom can be aged under 2 years, so we cater for children from when you need your child(ren) to attend a loving and nurturing environment until they graduate to school.
Kids Count Lenore mirrors the culture of its surrounding families. With a very strong Pacifica influence, food, love and laughter abounds and our children readily adopt the centre as a second home. We have a multitude of family and cultural events throughout the year including the graduation of our 5-year-olds.
A purpose-built childcare centre, each age has their own room, which moves from room to deck and a large outdoor play area.
We will genuinely care for your children and support their development as they evolve as the young individuals they are and to start them on their journey towards reaching their full potential.

Playgrounds
Our multiple playgrounds offer a world of exploration and adventure for children at our daycare. Each playground is thoughtfully designed to cater to different interests and developmental stages, providing endless opportunities for active play and discovery.
From climbing structures to sandpits, swings to imaginative play areas, our playgrounds inspire creativity and promote physical development. Children can engage in cooperative games, challenge themselves on obstacle courses, or simply enjoy the freedom of outdoor play.
Chicken Farm
The Chicken Coop at our daycare is a bustling hub of activity, where children take on the role of caretakers, fostering responsibility and empathy. Here, they learn firsthand about animal care, feeding the chickens, collecting eggs, and ensuring the coop is clean and comfortable.
As part of our holistic approach to education, the Chicken Coop provides valuable lessons in sustainability and the interconnectedness of living beings. Children develop an appreciation for nature and the importance of caring for our environment.
Starfish Room
Between 3 months and 2 years old marks a significant period of new beginnings and focused care.
In our spacious specially designed room, equipped with a kitchenette, sleep area, and dedicated bathroom for toileting, we provide attentive care tailored to this developmental stage.
Outside, our expansive outdoor area offers a range of engaging activities for children to explore and enjoy as they learn and grow.
Stingray Room
Between the ages of 2 and 3, the Stingray Room fosters an environment where every child has the chance to discover, inquire, and engage with the world.
This stage is celebrated for its focus on independence, as children start to test their boundaries and discover their abilities. In the Stingray Room, toilet training progresses, with the expectation that it will be completed during this period.
Honu Room
In the Honu Room, tailored for 3-year-olds, we celebrate diversity by engaging in cultural exchanges through art, craft, songs, and dance.
Recognizing the uniqueness of each child, we foster an environment where they learn to empathize and respond to others' needs, cultivating a sense of community and belonging.
Dolphin Room
The Dolphin Room serves as the dynamic hub of leadership development, empowering children to become center leaders and "Tuakana," poised to embrace the challenges of the wider world. Here, we foster critical thinking and exploration, encouraging collaborative learning among peers.
Additionally, we offer a specialized "Transition to School" Programme tailored for children aged 4.5 to 6 years old.
Upon completion of their journey in the Dolphin Room, children transition to "Big School," embarking on the next exciting chapter of their educational adventure.
